Somerset Partnership NHS & Social
Care Trust and Somerset Social Services to benefit from local Integrated
Care Record
After nearly 2 years of successful implementation of RiO at Somerset
Partnership NHS & Social Care Trust, CSE Servelec is about to
deliver an exciting new development to enable the Trust and other
care organisations in Somerset to share key information.
Somerset will have a local, shared Care Record, which will allow
Mental Health, Social Care and eventually Primary Care and Education
to integrate their information. This will complement RiO’s
existing functionality for unifying into a single process, the planning
for mental health and social care within the Trust.
The standard of care at the Trust is constantly being improved
by the ways in which RiO manages, stores and allows access to information.
Records are instantly accessible at the point of care, enabling
Health & Care professionals to be supported in making informed
decisions about their work.
Carole Shuff, Informatics Programme Manager at Somerset Health
Informatics Service, will be presenting a Case History about RiO
at HC2004 on Tuesday 23 March 2004 at 16.00. Entitled “Progress
Report on the Implementation of RiO, a mental health EPR system
at Somerset Partnership NHS and Social Care Trust”, the Case
History will be jointly presented by Donna Patten, Business Development
Manager at CSE Servelec and supported by First DataBank Europe.
