New Tea Blending System for Tetley

Tetley has awarded a prestigious contract to Sheffield based CSE Servelec to implement and support a new tea blending system for their UK manufacturing plant in Eaglescliffe. Tetley is the world’s second largest manufacturer of tea bags, bringing teas “naturally rich in antioxidants”, from Africa, India and Ceylon, to be blended in Eaglescliffe , the home of favourite brands such as Tetley Drawstring, Tetley Gold and Tetley Quickbrew.

The new system will offer a more focused solution to their plant requirements by embracing the latest developments in technology. The system will be more robust and easily modified as requirements change, ensuring that CSE Servelec’s contribution to the production of this well-known household name will continue long into the future.

Full training courses will be provided for operators and electricians/engineers at CSE Servelec’s high-tech engineering facility, in order to maintain the smooth flow of the manufacturing process at the plant. Production will be disrupted as little as possible, in order to sustain the supply to our nation of tea-lovers.

A staged changeover will allow implementation to be gradual, initially involving two separate lines running in parallel, until the system has been fully tested in situ. Total on-site support will be provided by CSE Servelec, reducing the impact of unforeseen issues and thereby enabling users to focus on the system to gain benefit from its full potential.
