Based from our Head Office in Sheffield, we are looking to recruit undergraduate (3rd year students) to undertake their placement year and Graduates with a Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Network Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, for a variety of roles across all our business groups:

Healthcare Systems

The Healthcare Systems group offers market leading web based solutions for Community and Mental Health Care across the UK.  

RiO, the Care Record system designed by Healthcare Systems, is a highly intuitive interface through which care professionals can plan, schedule and record the treatment received by patients in their care.

Key aspects of the role are:

• Development of a complex web based Healthcare application.
• Development using AJAX, XHTML, Javascript, ASP, Visual Basic, C#, SQL Server and other technologies.
• Providing technical assistance to our Customer Support team when investigating live issues as raised by the client.
• Providing support to the Development team with the writing and releasing of software to clients, including demonstration and training systems.

Control Solutions

The Control Solutions Group specialises in the provision of full turnkey solutions for a wide range of industrial control and monitoring applications.  Their business predominantly lies within the oil & gas industry, however they also serve clients in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and transportation industries. 

Key aspects of the role are:

• The design of industrial control systems (both hardware and software)
• Utilising Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
• Utilising Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software packages
• Working in-house and on clients sites throughout the UK.

Customer Support

CSE Servelec provide customer support services to a wide range of clients across all areas of the business via a HelpDesk facility and on-site client visits.  The Customer Support group also provide internal technical support to the Company’s network.

Key aspects of the role are:

• Programming using Java, C++, ASP and HTML
• Assisting with Software upgrades and Hardware support both internally and externally
• Providing technical support and advice through the Help Line

Business Solutions

CSE Servelec’ Business Solutions Group specialises in the development of real-time, high availability integrated solutions. The Business Solutions team has extensive specialist technical knowledge of systems integration and software development and have supplied business solutions to organisations such as the Met Office, National Grid UK, Severn Trent Water and the Environment Agency.

Key aspects of the role are:

• To provide software implementation on Real Time systems using C/C++ and Java
• Develop user interfaces primarily using Java/JSP and HTML.
• Work on Business Solutions products and standard database technologies.
